Frequently Asked Questions

How is rating calculated?
Based on your speed and accuracy on ranked blitzes, your blitz rating is calculated. Your account rating is calculated based on your ranked blitzes.
What is the difference between ranked and unranked blitzes?
Ranked blitzes are blitzes that you play for the very first time. If you reattempt a blitz, it is unranked, and does not affect your rating.
What is my streak, and how do I maintain it?
Your streak hinges on completion of the daily problem, regardless of whether you get it correct. If you play the daily problem for that day, your streak will increase. If you miss a day, it resets.
Can users create their own blitzes?
Yes. In about a month, we will be releasing that feature. In the meantime, however, you can play the official sets created by Mitosisphere.
Who is behind BioBlitz?
We are a small team of students from Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria, VA. In addition, Mitosisphere provides original content for BioBlitz to use.
Are you guys looking for more team members?
Absolutely! We are especially looking for content creators, developers, graphic designers, and marketing experts. As we are a small team, we also have opportunities for leadership. Visit mitosisphere.org to apply.
